The goal is to help customers design the perfect furniture piece that fits their home and lifestyle. The client needed a modern, user-friendly online store with an intuitive and interactive configurator that could present complex configuration options clearly and perform seamlessly. The configurator was designed to be fast and responsive without delays, ensuring an optimal user experience.
That's when we partnered with them in this project of designing, developing, and integrating a fully customizable configurator on Shopware 6, hosted on Vercel.

Creating a smooth product customization experience
The client's online store offered a wide range of customizable furniture products, allowing users to configure colors, armrests, mattresses, fabrics, size, and foot options. However, the existing system lacked clarity in presenting these options, making it difficult for customers to understand all available combinations.
They approached us to improve usability, reduce configurator loading time, and provide a fast, clear overview of options. The existing system was slow due to the high number of configurable options, causing poor performance and a subpar user experience.
The main goal was to deliver a highly responsive product detail page and an intuitive configurator that enables smooth selection of options, improving overall accessibility and performance.
A fully customized, high-performance configurator built on Shopware and hosted on Vercel
We approached this challenge by first holding multiple deep-dive calls with the client to fully understand their requirements, which also included an on-site visit in Hamburg. Based on their input, we designed detailed wireframes focusing on a clean, user-friendly interface optimized for performance.
We designed clear, user-friendly layouts and documented all custom requirements alongside the configurator’s architecture. An interactive prototype was built for testing in the Shopware 6 backend, and once approved, we developed a fully customizable configurator from scratch. Using a Vue.js frontend, we enabled fast, real-time option updates without page reloads, and hosted the solution on Vercel for scalability and speed. Our team ensured product pages loaded quickly with seamless, delay-free configurator interactions.
